How Can sharp Pain In The Head Be Treated?

I am having severe pain on the top of my head. It is a shooting pain every few seconds. I had esophagectomy surgery last April 2015. The scar on my neck from surgery seems to be where the pain was generating from. The pain would go from the neck scar to my ear yesterday and I would have shooting pains in and around my ear. Today that has stopped and I am having shooting pains on the top of my head. I have fever today and do not feel well.

Hi,

The pain has got no relation with your previous surgery.

As of now, you can take analgesics like Aceclofenac or Tramadol for pain relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
General & Family Physician
