How Can Barrett’s Esophagus Be Treated?
Hi, my son had blood transfusions two years ago due to a bleeding esophagus. Last January he was scoped for the third time for this problem at Cedar Sinai in LA and was diagnosed with barret syndrome. He has been on medication for this for years. Two weeks ago he went to emergency due to swelling and extreme pain in feet and ankles. He was given morphone and had blood transfusions. His feet are still swollen and he has now been scheduled for surgery on April 17th. We are worried that he will be walking around bleeding for another three weeks. Is this a serious situation?
