Hello and thank you for using healthcaremagic.
I understand your concern about your condition. From your history it seems that you have a multitude of health related issues, the most pressing of which seems to you to be
COPD.
To put it simply your lungs have to work very hard to maintain normal
oxygen level in your body, and to remove carbon dioxide. Hence it causes a lot of difficulties in day to day activities. And because it is chronic disease, you have to be constantly carefully not to
stress yourself too much. And because you also have CAD, which means some damage/blockage in the vessels supplying heart, the problem is compounded.
While CAD is manageable and treatable, COPD can only be controlled. There are not complete cure for the disease, except for maybe transplant. But it can be kept under control for most of the time, with medication,
physiotherapy and lifestyle changes. I have seen patients and my own family members reaching 75 with mild to moderate
disability.
You should get in touch with your physician for complete treatment options. While on your own, it would be good to have a portable nebuliser device to control acute attacks. Steam inhalation, is also helpful, though to a minor extent.
So to summarise
1. COPD with CAD pose a major risk to your health and should not be ignored.
2. You should check out all the treatment options for CAD and COPD, so as to lead a near normal life.
3. Some lifestyle changes will definitely help you to get the breathing easy.
I hope that I have cleared up your query with enough information. Feel free to ask any other queries you may have.
Wishing you a healthy life.
Thanks again.
