Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Doctors often suspect C. difficile in anyone with diarrhea who have taken antibiotics within the past two months or when diarrhea develops a few days after hospitalization. So far as treatment is concerned, the first step in treating C. difficile is to stop taking the antibiotic that triggered the infection. Ironically, the standard treatment for C. difficile is another antibiotic. These antibiotics keep C. difficile from growing, which in turn treats diarrhea and other complications.

For mild to moderate infection, doctors usually prescribe metronidazole (Flagyl), taken by mouth which you were already been given. For more severe and recurrent cases, vancomycin is a preferred choice which also has already been given in your case. Another oral antibiotic, fidaxomicin should be prescribed in case of little improvement. In your case, I'd suggest complete rest for a week along with proper rehydration with electrolytes and a bland diet.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
