Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My niece has been diagnosed with ehlers danlos syndrome hypermobility recently. In the last year I ve been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, microscopic colitis, and was previously diagnosed with a bicuspid aortic valve. I have osteoarthritis in my hands, feet, knees and spine. I have 4 degenerating discs. I ve already had one spinal fusion in my neck. My muscles and joints burn and ache constantly. And I never, ever feel rested. Is it even really necessary for me to see a geneticist?

How Can Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome Be Treated?
Hello, The treatment is only symptomatic. As the disease is already diagnosed, no point is there in seeing a geneticist. Consult a physician for further assessment. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
