Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

1) Meet the gynecologist ask for the complete report , if HPV is positive ask for the strains they have tested, whether low risk or high risk
2) You may need yearly pap testing and HPV testing to check whether the HPV infection persists
3) If pap is abnormal then they will ask for a test called colposcopy which is visualization of the cervix to look for any abnormality, based on which further evaluation can be done
4) If you have any new symptoms of white discharge, bleeding vagina or post coital bleed please meet your doctor
5)Many times the test may be a false positive test which on successive testings will be negative.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
