How Can I Get Relief From Continued Bursitis In Left Hip Without Getting Cured From Injections?
I have had bursitis in my left hip for over 3 years now and it will simply not go away. I ve had the injections into the area (which hurt like hell) and I ve done everything the doctor has told me to do, but it will not go away. I can not lay on my left side at all and it s the side I really need to fall asleep on. I roll over onto it in the middle of the night and wake up like a shot with the pain. What else might this be or how can I get some relief?
Hi there. A long standing bursitis like yours might have got infected and walled off......hence it is resistant to routine treatment as the medication is not able to reach the infected site.
Firstly get an MRI done to see the extent of the lesion. Go for a surgical removal and drainage of the bursa which is the permanent cure. Prolonging the inevitable is only going to make things worse.
Make sure to start antibiotics according to the culture and sensitivity report of the bursa fluid.
I hope my advice is of help. Good luck.
