How Can I Lower My Amylase Levels Which Is Secreated From Salivary Glands ?
Hi I was wondering if there is any way to lower the amylase levels secreated from salivary glands . Wondering if there is a way to abruptly lower amylase sereum levels, so that parotid , sub mandibular salivary glands shrink down.

amylase is adigestive enzyme secreted by pancreas and salivary glands.there is nothing to lower amylase level which will cause shrinkage of parotid gland.please give details of your problem. u have not given enough information about the disease.i think u have pancreatic problem.give details of habits like alcohol consumption and diet.

Do you consume Alcohol? How old are you? Serum Amylase is an enzyme that helps digest carbohydrates. It is produced by the pancreas and the glands that make saliva that is submandibular or Parotid Glands. When the pancreas is diseased or inflamed, amylase releases into the blood and level increases. What is your amylase level? the normal range is 23 to 140 u/l but it varies from facility to facility. The exact cause for this has to be found out and treated. You should be seeing a gastroenterologist for this. If you drink alcohol, quit.
