How Can IBS Along With Lower Backache Be Treated?

I am an ibs sufferer but only have the odd flair up I was diognosed with syatica last week and I m on 30mg co codamol which have helped but last night my ibs was at it s worse I was in agony but also had lower back pain which I put down to the leg not the ibs I still have back pain the morning but I have also had wind this morning but when I trumped mucus came out and it was heavily mixed with red blood I ve never had this before and I m rather worried Thanks for reading

Hi,

Blood in stool is something serious. In IBS this is not seen. So you might be having some intestinal pathology which is causing lower backache and blood in the stool.

So consult a gastroenterologist and get done clinical examination, lower GI (gastrointestinal) scopy and CT Abdomen to find out the cause.
