How Can Xanax Be Removed From The System Of A Child?

Hi. While I was in the kitchen making my kids sandwiches my 2 year old climbed into my dresser where I had 2 halves of a 1 mg Xanax that my mom gave me to take at night because I have been suffering from panic attacks lately. He walked into the kitchen spitting something out and when looked in his mouth her had a melted half of a Xanax on his tongue (I m guessing he was spitting it out cuz of the bitter taste. I imidiatly shoved my fingers down his throat and he started throwing up, in his vomit was a tiny little blue piece of a Xanax. It has been 30 mins since this happens and he is acting like his normal slef. I had gaven him a bottle of milk right after throwing up and then he ate his sandwich. What do you think I should do?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I could have advised you to make him through up but you just did it and I think he probably through it up.
Just give him warm water and milk.
Nothing else needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
