How Can A Cat Bite Be Treated?

Hi all, Had a cat bite recently and had taken anti rabies shots from day 0,3 and 7, then was advised to not take further shots if the cat did not die... Thankfully the cat did not die but he bit me again 3 days ago, exactly on my supposed 14th day.. haven t had time to get a shot and will be taking it today .... Should I worry? The cat is my pet and vaccines are up to date.. he triggered a bite coz he was play chasing my foot Thanks

Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

-Gently clean with soap and warm water. Rinse for several minutes after cleaning.
-Apply antibiotic cream to reduce risk of infection, and cover with a sterile bandage.
If you have further symptoms go to the emergency room for further treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
