Saw ortho surgeon yesterday. Left with no good advice how to get wrist back to normal as good as I can . terrible appt. Just referral for physical therapy, and referral notes state...PT or OT 3X wk. For 6 wks. Questions are....any advice regarding therapy at home, supplements, vitamins to help? Also, he ordered blood work also. Is this normal. He was in and out of the room in less than 5 minutes. %
You have mentioned that you had fractured your hand about two months back. Did not you get a cast applied for it? If not, then by now your fracture may not have healed, or there is also a chance of malunion.
I am unable to comment about why he ordered a blood workup unless you tell me what tests he ordered. I would advise you to get a check x-ray done to know the current state of your fracture. Treatment will depend accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Nazma Amman
