Hello. Thanks for asking from HCM.
I can understand your concern. It is good that you are conscious, oriented and no other symptoms of
head injury except headache. Light headedness and headache may persist for few days after head injury. You should observe yourself for signs of dangerous head injury
: vomiting
:
loss of consciousness for more than 5 minutes
: fits
: bleed through nose/ear/throat
: onset of new focal deficit
: Persistent headache not responding to painkillers
If no above sign, your injury seems mild. If any of above signs, you must consult ER as soon as possible. The doctor will advise CT head to rule out fracture or bleed. Only fracture is managed by medical treatment while bleed may require surgery.
Now coming to your
chest pain, according to your symptomatology it appears that it is due to either
chest injury or muscle pull. The pain occurring at specific site which increases after inspiration is usually due to muscle pull or injury chest. You can confirm it by
; stretching chest muscle. If it hurts that is muscle which is injured
; Look for the local tenderness site. If you find any redness, swelling that means it is the site of injury.
; If your chest pain increases in severity and you find difficulty in breathing, consult ER as soon as possible. The doctor might advise X ray chest to rule out fracture ribs or bleed in chest. Treatment may include painkillers or
putting
chest tube to drain blood
For relief both in chest pain and headache with bump, you can follow few tips
: Apply icepacks at both sites
: Avoid pressure at both sites
: You can take painkiller like
Diclofenac sodium after proper prescription
: You can apply painkiller gel over chest pain site
: Swelling, redness and pain will subside in 10 to 14 days on its own.
: Bed rest. Avoid physical exertion.
Hope it will help you. Still no relief, you can
consult doctor.
Thanks. Take care.
