General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Surgery is the only treatment option for hernia. It is better to do the surgery as early as possible to avoid unwanted complications like obstruction. Various surgical options are available and you can go for either open of laparoscopic procedure. Laparoscopy is considered as superior where recurrence rate is low and complications are low when compared to open procedure. Consult a general surgeon and he will direct you accordingly.

Wishing you good health.

Thanks.
