How Can A Hole In The Heart Of An Infant Be Treated?
Doctor my baby s girl has hole in heart.but it s ASD doctor told us it s 7.5mm and she is just 5.5months baby now the weight is 4.71. At the birth time she s weight was 1.8 His stomach does not full she is crying also the mother has less milk so what shall I do what to give she to eat(liquids)and the name..... At first time it was VSD 25mm at after 20days from Born but now it s clear...and we give him (NAN)nestle milk to feed him..
As long as a baby with congenital heart defect can suck and swallow without cough, difficulty swallowing, regurgitation or vomiting or wheezing(high-pitched whistling sound when you listen over the infants chest or back), then you can feed the baby the same formula that you would give to a baby without congenital heart defect.
(NAN) nestle milk is a good formula for your baby for now. Her physician may change the formula when the baby is 6 months old.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Arnold Zedd,
Pediatrician
