Hello sir/madam, my father is diagnosed with liver abscess with hyperechoic lesion measuring 47*52*40 mm vol 53cc, which is noted in segment 5th of right lobe of liver. Kindly guide me for further treatment and risk factor for this disease as he is diabetic too. Do help with your suggestions as it would be a great help
hi a liver abscess is an surgical emergency, it has to be treated as that. either u can aspirate USG guided and start medications too. As he is a diabetic so it might take little more precautions , like u need to to have a strict control of his blood sugar as well, and close monitoring. it is best adviced that u consult a surgeon soon.
