How Can A Persistent Headache With Acute Pain Be Treated?

I have had a constant BAD headache for three months now. It's in the same spot on the side of my head between my eye and ear. It KILLS! It hurts mostly when stand up, bend over, and lay flat for a long time. I was prescribed Amoxicillin but nothing it's not working. What is wrong with me?
