How Can A Pyogenic Granuloma Of The Toenail Be Treated?

Silver nitrate sticks were used to cauterize pyogenic granuloma of great toenail. Two days later post op looks gangrenous ( thick black Eschar) at the distal end. I presumed overuse in this elderly Diabetic. What are your recommendations for wound care?

Hi,

Treating such conditions in diabetic patients is always tricky as their immunity level are low and so is the wound healing capacity. We need to debride the dead tissue and you have to see your physician for that.
