How Can A Rash Behind The Right Ear Be Treated?

My ten year old daughter has a weeping rash on the back of her right ear. It started about three weeks ago. It looks like small slightly raised bumps that ooze clear liquid. Then looks flaky. Im assuming this is when the fluid dries. It does not itch and is not painful. No fever or rash anywhere else. Has a history of eczema. Im starting to become concerned because it hasn t gone away.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
hello,
i can understand your concern. Based on the symptoms you have mentioned, it appears to be mastoiditis or some localised infection.
A short course of antibiotic like augmentin 375mg for seven days should be sufficient.
Kindly get a Complete blood picture, ESR, culture and sensitivity of the discharge.
An examination by an ENT specialist would also be benifcial to check for ear infections.
Hope i have answered your query.
Thanks for choosing HCM
