Pressure Behind Ear, Noise In Head, Rash On Waist Line. Suggestion?
Have ear pressure, noises in head, pressure behind eye - all on right side. GP saw no ear problems. Given prednisone . Came down with a shingles rash on right side at waist line. Given aclovir. Rash never blistered...skin became flat but discolored a little. ENT did hearing tests and ear drum pressure and were fine. MRI was fine. Now have a hive like rash where had shingles.
Hi, Welcome to HCM. Shingles or herpes zoster starts with tingling sensations, abnormal sensations and pain along the area where the nerves are affected. The nerves are inflamed and cause pain along the dermatome or skin supplied by nerves. In your case right side of your body. The blisters are usually grouped blisters which occur again and again for 5-7 days and then heal without scarring after 3-4 weeks. Hive like rash also can occur. Please continue your antiviral treatment, and local application of acyclovir cream over the rashes 5 times a day will help. Thanks.
