hello i have problems to sleep now for the first time i am 23 years old and i am really scared i feel good when i am awake but when i go to bed just before i start sleeping some wheared feeling gets thrue me like a rollercoast thrue my head i got the feeling like my heart stops or i stop breathing please what is wrong

I read your question carefully and I understand your concern.

Looking at your description I would say that the issue is related to anxiety. It is common for it to be more pronounced in the evening.

Given your young age it would be preferable to avoid anti-anxiety medication as long as possible and should initially see a psychotherapist in order to learn relaxation exercises and identify thinking patterns leading to anxiety and how to cope with them.
