How Can A Sore Lump Above The Ankle Be Treated?

I developed a lump on my leg above my ankle area. It is sore to touch. The next day it turned black and blue and the black and blue extended further down from where the lump is. The lump is still there but seems to be a bit smaller but black and blue is still there.

Hello,

An ankle lump is a protuberance or localized area of swelling in the ankle.

Lumps in the ankle can be caused by any number of conditions, including infections, inflammation, tumours and trauma. Many ankle lumps are the result of traumatic causes.

You should seek prompt medical care if you have an unexplained ankle lump.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
