How Can A Surgical Wound On The Foot Be Treated?

Hi, 3 days ago, I had a wart removed from my foot. The doctor used electricity and with a thin rod removed the wart. She applied betadine and asked me to remove after 24 hours. There is no other medication or cream or after care treatment advised. The wound is still raw and there is a slight discharge from it and is painful when I walk or stand. My question is: 1. How long does this take to heal? 2. Should I be applying some anti bacterial cream and use a bandage to speed up healing?
