How Can A Wasp Sting On The Face Be Treated?

While purchasing ice cream at a outdoor window side, my son was bitten by a wasp. He complains about a great of pain on his facial area. He doesn t want to discuss it! However, for my sake (AND HIS OF COURSE), tell me what your advice would be? The time that has passed has now been 10 minutes. But he will not tell me any information. Would you please advise me ! Thank you!

Wasp sting on face may cause allergic reaction.
If I were your treating doctor,I recommend,
-Remove any attatched sting by washing area with soap and water.
-Oral analgesic like ibuprofen twice a day,antihistamincs like cetrizine once a day may be taken.
-Local application of ice pack and calamine lotion on bitten area may give relief.
-If the symptoms worsens in 24 hours or a swelling develops over face/lips or there difficulty in breathing,Visit to ER for considering injectable options like epinephrine,steroid.
