How Can A Wound On The Head Be Treated?

I fell and hit my head on a rock yesterday afternoon. I also cut my ear and had difficulty getting the bleeding to stop. It has, but now I have noticed small amounts of clear liquid that occasionally weep from the wound. Food does not appeal as my stomach feels acidy and I m belching frequently. Any suggestions?

Hi,

I guess you have already visited the hospital and get it assessed for any need for stitches.

Also, you are already been started on prophylactic antibiotics, and if not then you should. You will also need antacids like Pantoprazole to fight acidity which can be caused by the stress of fall, antibiotics and painkillers.

Need to avoid spicy and oily food. A clear fluid may normally come out of wound but pus is a worrisome issue. Apply antibiotics powder or ointments like Mupirocin or Neosporin over the wound to avoid infection.
