How Can An Infected Wound On The Finger Be Treated?

I have a finger that was poked with something about a week ago seemed ok till yesterday the where whatever pokedit went in had a little clear seepage then started throbbing swelling and is red around it and around the finger. about an inch area is the pointer finger. put salve on it last night an took advil a little worse swollen today but not throbbing just hurts. soaking it with sea salt and soda right now. What should I be doing

Hello,
Infections in the fingers and hand can be very dangerous and can spread rapidly. You most likely need to be on antibiotics. Salt water soaks will not hurt anything but most often antibiotics are needed. You do not want to end up with a surgery or losing a finger so see a doctor soon.
