Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was playing softball when I got hit with the ball on the outer part of my ankle. I continued to play on it for two hours and went on to work a six hour shift. When I arrived home, I could barely walk without a limp. My ankle was sensitive to the touch and had red lines.
Hello, thanks for trusting HCM with your query, its likely that its just a blunt trauma without fracture since you were able to continue playing for two hours. it is also possible that you could have had a non displaced fracture which you aggravated by continuing the playing.
What i will advice you to do is; rest the ankle, get pain balms and pain killers, anti-inflammatory and apply ice. if pain persists then get an x-ray and and see a doctor. Hope this helps. if you have further query, i will be glad to respond Best regards Dr Achuo
