Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have injured my 2nd toe (near the big toe) in January. It really hurt and i was limping so i told my mother about it but she didnt do anything about it so i never saw a doctor. Now it is August and it doesnt hurt really at all. But, it is not straight like my other toes and is like bent or crooked. the bone is sticking out (not out of the skin) almost like a bump on the side of my toe. I m not sure what i should do. It s been 7 months and i still haven t seen a doctor. Is there hope of fixing my toe? I feel like it healed broken. Please help. :)
I had gone through your question I can I can understand your concern about your toe.
As per your history of trauma and change in the shape of the toe, what I can understand is that at the time of your trauma your toe was fractured, because you did not took any medical intervention the bone has healed with faulty rejoining and now the shape is disfigured.
You don't need to worry it will no cause you any harm further in future but if you want to get it properly fixed it will need an orthopedic intervention, a micro surgery with proper reduction and realignment.
Hope my answer will help you and write us back in case you feel any further help required.
Regards Dr Muzaffer Hussain Parray.
