How Can An Insect Bite On The Ankle Be Treated?

I got a bite on my ankle 24 hrs ago, which is itchy, raised and swollen. Ice brought down the swelling , but not completely. Now it looks to have some yellow below the surface. I don t know what type of Doctor to see for diagnosis and treatment. I am not in my home country ( Canadian) and want to see the right type of Doctor. Also concerned and want to avoid to get a more severe reaction within the first 72 hours. Please advise

General & Family Physician 's  Response
hello,
i can understand your concern. the symptoms you have mentioned are common after an insect bit. swellin, redness indicate a hypersensitive reaction.
you require a shot of anti histamine like avil and an epinephrine shot. i would suggest you to visit ER as soon as possible and get treated immediately as you have mentioned presence of something yello, this might be pus which would have to be drained and antibiotics prescribed for the same
hope i have answered your query. have a nice day
