Hello,
It looks like you are not keeping yourself enough warm. Wear warm clothes, hats, gloves, socks, scarf, etc., and maintain the temperature. Take warm food and beverage. Since you are having ankle pain, it may be indicative RA or OA. People with RA or OA do better in warmer climates. You can get clinically examined in ER and get blood tests done to confirm diagnosis & rule out any
sprain, strains or
tendonitis that could be causing the pain.
Avoid taking alcohol, sugars and refined carbohydrates,
gluten & flavor enhancers. Take walnuts, ginger, garlic, berries, spinach, whole gains, peas, beans & olive oil. To reduce joint pain naturally you should avoid being sedentary, stay active, turmeric helps, keep the joints warm, use heating pads, do stretch exercises, get connected to a physical therapist,
massage therapy may help.
However, to relieve pain you can take
Naproxen or
Combiflam, one SOS when required.
Acetaminophen is a mild medicine, you can take one SOS when needed. Never get dependent on medicines. Keep your stomach warm, to help better digestion. Take antacids for relief.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
