How Can Ankyloglossia Be Treated?

I am a 22 years old girl. I have my tongue tied . Somehow it was not detected in the childhood. But now i feel quite embarrassed because of the pronunciation and speech disorder because of tongue tied. Is it curable through surgery at the age of 22? Is their any other way out to improve my speech disorder? Please answer me sir....

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain Tongue tie or Ankyloglossia occurs due to high frenulum attachment leading to restricted tongue movements..

It is not an untreatable condition and it can be very much be relieved..

You should consult an Oral Surgeon and get evaluated and he can do a Frenulectomy surgery to reduce the length of frenulum attachment and make the tongue free..

So you need not to worry as it is a minor surgical procedure and can very much improve your speech and also pronunciation..
