How Can Anxiety And Depression Be Treated While On Oxycodone And Valium?
I am a 79 year old woman that has had a femoral bypass and osteoporosis, CLL, several fractures, and recently 3 epidurals. I have decreased my valium for muscle spasms over a long period from 10 mg to 1 mg and will go down to 1 mg every day eventually off it. But I have needed and been prescribed 15 mg oxycodone 4x a day by pain management doctor. I also suffer from situational depression and anxiety. The pain management doctor wants me off the valium and on tizanadine. I also take 81mg baby aspirin daily. Is there a danger in adding tizanadine in view of the above. Will it help my anxiety and depression or is there a medication i can also safely take?
Consult a psychiatrist and get evaluated. You can safely add Tizanidine to your routine medicines. It will not interact with your routine medicines including Aspirin.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
