hi I have been on 100mg of Zoloft for about 2 months now for anxiety and depression. recently the anxiety and worry returned so my dr increased dose to 150 mg been on 150 for about 9 days and ive have worsened anxiety and weepy at times. I had these side affects when I first started on them. is this normal to have increased anxiety with an increased dose and how long till they go away? when should I notice a difference? thanks
Based on the history you have shared, single antidepressants may need to be switched to a combination of serotonin receptors blockers alongside benzodiazepines, however, you need to have a detailed review with a psychiatrist and a motivational psychologist and detailed sessions relating to your needs and treatment may be targeted accordingly for better response otherwise decrease in efficiency with persistent dose may occur.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
