How Can Asthma And Restrictive Lung Disease Be Treated?
I have had both my lung collapse 2x each side left and right spontaneously, I had an upper lobe wedge resection thoracotomy and mechanical pluerodesis on right side, and a thoracotomy and mechanical pluerodesis on my left side. I have asthma and restrictive lung disease. My pain management doctor perscribed me butrans patch for round the clock pain management. The box it came in and all the information I have found has stated to absolutely not take butrans if you have lung disease or asthma. I m honestly afraid to Risk taking this medication. I had chest pain with nucynta so he changed me to butrans patch. I was on Percocet before during and after my surgery and I never had a bad reaction, I am not willing to Risk any further harm trying new medicines especially those that say not to take if you have lung disease air way restriction or severe asthma. What are your thoughts? Do you think this butrans is safe for someone with my particular situation. Also I am being observed for Marfan syndrome as I have an enlarged aorta and irregular palpitations.
