How Can Bleeding Of An Injured Toe Be Stopped?

Hi, my son bashed the end of his big toe last night and it bleed from the foot. I applied germoline and plasters. This morning it started to bleed again in the shower & I have reapplied the germoline and plasters. Is there anything else I should do? Thanks

Hello dear
I understand your concern
Bleeding is occur due to injury to capillary and soft tissue of toe.
Clinical examination by primary care physician is help to assess injury.
Following treatment will help you:
Apply pressure for 5-10 minute to stop bleeding.
Then apply betadine ointment. It will help in faster healing.
Take ibuprufen and tablet containing seritopeptidase for 3-5 days.
Take proper rest and regular dressing of the toes with the betadine.
No need to apply palster
