Hi,
I have gone through your query and I can understand your concerns.
Weight gain is a common with antidepressants and anti epileptic medicines.Do not lose hope you can try many lifestyle modifications and dietary changes to lose extra weight.I have seen many of such patients who maintain their BMI in normal range.
Keep a weight chart to track your progress and set goals which should be practical.Eat according to your hunger,Do not eat out of
depression.Try to have a pleasant and calm mind.Listen your favorite music.Practice
Yoga it may burn your extra calorie.
Plan a good diet, you can seek help from a dietitian.Chose carbohydrates that contain very little fat.Avoid chocolates, cookies, french fries, ice creams.Eat more fruits and vegetables.Reduce the intake of protein rich food.
Keep on training.Having a training partner would be better.Do not over sleep.Keep involved.
Get tested for vitamin D deficiency and
hypothyroidism. These are two other causes for weight gain and are usually unnoticed
Wishing you good health.
