How Can Brittle Nails Be Treated?
Hi One of my finger nail has splitted in to two layers i.e. there is another nail plate under the original nail, this nail plate is very thin but it is causing upper nail plate discoloring & a lift/gap. It is not painful but both plates are very visible if I turn the finger tip towards my face. How to get rid of bottom plate & discoloring of upper nail. pls. advise... Ch. Zee

I have read and understood your concern.
It may be difficult to get rid of any of the plates.I will advise you trim the nails finely.Nail growth is a progressive process and the upper layer will grow and go off with time.I will also advise you get the nail examined by the Doctor to check if nail discoloration is not of infectious origin(nail fungal infection)
