Hello, I am 71 years old. Two years ago, my upper left wisdom tooth was extracted by a general dentist. Since then I have been hearing a loud thumping, wooshing noise. The noise is consistent 24 hours a day. It happened right after the extraction. I have had numerous of scans, xrays, mri's, and tests, etc. I have seen ENT's, oral surgeons, etc. And they keep confusing my condition with pain, or hearing loss. I have neither, it's just a loud noise! no pain at all, unless I press firmly at the place where the tooth was extracted. I am so depressed because no one knows what I am talking about. I just want this noise to go away. Do you have any idea on what might have happened to cause this noise?
