How Can Bursitis Of The Knee Be Treated?

Can Bursitis of the knee get cured? when driving for more than a few hours, my leg starts giving me great pain, both lower and upper leg. it appears that the on and off use of the accelerator aggravates the bursitis. otherwise the bursitis doesn t bother me much. I ve been wearing a knee brace for 3 months. wondering if there is an end in sight.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to bursitis. There is a different type of treatment of bursitis.

I suggest using anti-inflammatory medication such as Ibuprofen for the pain. I also recommend physical therapy.

If the symptoms continue steroid injection may be required, so you should consult your doctor about this treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
