Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
This is the first time I ve experienced Carpal tunnel syndrome. The fingers on both hands have been unable to close completely - swollen and painful. After doing some yard pruning on Saturday, my condition got worse to the point that I couldn t sleep because of the pain on right side from shoulder to hand. I went for a chiropractic adjustment to see if it is related to the right shoulder. The treatment released shoulder tension, but my fingers are still numb on the right hand.
Yes, it could definitely be carpal tunnel syndrome, but we need to find the etiology for that.
Is it infectious, inflammatory or due to diabetes?
As they are more prone, so we need to find out the details and treat accordingly. You can take any anti-inflammatory or analgesic medication to subside infection and the pains.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
