Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 7 year old had a endoscopy to check for celiac disease, which came back positive, and a adenomatous polyp was found. She tested negative for FAP. Is this unusual and will she be likely to get colon cancer? I plan on her having another endoscopy next year with a colonoscopy.

Start him on gluten free diet and do regular followup. Take a biopsy from the polyp and send it for biopsy to look for any malignant changes. As of now take gluten free diet and do frequent follow up.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
