Hi, thanks for asking from HCM.
I can understand your concern. You were drunk and got hit on your head and face. If you are having any of below symptoms, you must get NCCT head done
-
Vomiting - focal weakness
- seizures
- bleed from nose, mouth or ear without any visible trauma
- progressively worsening headache, not responding to painkillers
-
loss of consciousness for more than 5 minutes
In above symptoms, I think you are having persistent headache. You should consult ER for evaluation. The doctor will examine you and get NCCT head. NCCT head will rule out any
fracture, intracranial bleed.
I think your CT head will be normal or might show fracture or small bleed only, which can be managed conservatively. It is because you are conscious, oriented and having no deficit. So please don't worry.
For relief, you can
- Apply icepacks at injury and swelling site
- You can take painkiller like
Diclofenac with
serratiopeptidase to reduce pain and swelling, after proper prescription.
- Avoid alcohol
- Take rest
- Keep your head at higher level to reduce swelling
- The swelling will completely subside in next 10-14 days.
Hope it will help. If still in doubt, do let me know.
Thanks. Take care.
