How Can Chills Along With Fever And Headache Be Treated?

My husband has shaking chills and a fever. It has come on over the course of the day but is worse tonight. He also has a headache that s been off and on today, for which he s taken Tylenol. He is 66 years old and in good health. I m guessing this is probably a virus, but am worried about something more severe?

Hello.

It may be a viral fever. Give him paracetamol instead of tylenol when ever he gets fever. Repeat the medicines till 3 days.

If fever does not settles down then I would suggest you to get his blood tests done for malaria.

Thanks
