Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi,am 32 years old and got circumcised 4 weeks ago but until now the lower part is not healing. It dries in the day but whenever i erect normaly in the morning it cracks and reverses the process again. Is it normal ?Is there anything i need to do to avoid erecting and or cracking?and how much longer can it take to heal? Thanks Doctor
Usually, it might take 1 week to get the circumcision wound healed. After 4 weeks, it is totally healed. I think you have not washed the area well to remove the cracked parts.
So, to me, should consult with urologist, should wash with warm water and soap; apply saline solution to dampen the cracked parts, and then, gently remove them with a sterile gauze.
I think that should not be a problem. You can send a photo to me to get a better idea and help you further.
All the best. Dr.Albana Sejdini
