How Can Clitoral Irritation Caused By Yeast Infection Be Treated?
I have recently had a yeast infection and after getting some over the counter medication, i noticed that the area under the hood of my clit was sore. Upon inspection i noticed several red circle like marks. It doesnt itch but it is sore and feels irratated. Ive waited about a week and it hasnt gone away. Any suggestions?
First you have to make sure this is not herpes infection. The way you explain it brings the suspicion for herpes as in the mucosa it might seem like small red circles that are painful. The treatment for genital herpes differs from the treatment for yeast infection and is very important to talk with your doctor, have a gynecological exam and also consider other sexually transmitted diseases and have routine checks for them as well if the doctor thinks you are having herpres infection.
Yeast infection is generally not sore but itches and and may cause some white thick secretions. To help with it you can have some miconazole cream twice a day locally for a week.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
