Hi! Many people suffer from the symptoms of cough, fever and headache due to viral upper respiratory tract infections or flu. Sometimes the infection can be bacterial as well, it's better to see the doctor, get examined and get some blood tests done to be sure about the cause of fever and get treated with or without antibiotic after the test results. One may wait till 2nd or 3rd of the symptoms and may try over the counter anti-histamines and fever medications like cetirizine and paracetamol along with adequate rest and hydration (drinking a lot of water), may also try home remedies like inhalation of steam, drinking warm fluids, etc. As mentioned before, most of the time the cause is viral and usually takes 5 days or so for the symptoms to gradually go away and may not need antibiotics at all. Best wishes and get well soon!
