Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Dear Doctor, My daughter is 5 years 8 months. From yesterday evening IST, she got cough. We didnt send her school today. No temperature so far. Can I give her Ambrodil S syrup? If yes, what is the recommended dose? What is the difference between Ambrodil-s and Sinarest Syrup? Thanks for your help. Regards, Sabyasachi
dear Sir, Need to know whether its dry cough or productive cough. Ambrodil S is more effective in Productive cough.Common cold followed by cough is most commonest among children.I would rather suggest Ambrolite D Syrup which is dry cough formula. Sinarest active ingredient is paracetamol which is generally used for fever and antihistaminics. So if she has cold with associated fever Sinarest can be used.
