How Can Croup In An Infant Be Treated?

Two month old baby has croup for over a month. Every time he tries to cry he just barks. Feeding is hard as he has to stop to breathe. He does have rattling in his chest. No fever and nothing from the nose. Mother has no AC and I am just the sitter. I am worried about the care of the baby.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Croup for 1 month could be due to many things. Kindly get him to a pediatrician and check for any chest infections. Also while feeding if has a congested nose it would be difficult to feed him for which you have to use saline nasal drops in his both nose before feeding. Kindly consult.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
