General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello there. Your Hba1c is 6.8 which is on the higher side. It is advisable that you increase your dose of metformin 500 to one tablet twice daily. You can discuss it with your physician. Regarding the memory loss it may be the onset of dementia . So I would advise you to getan M.R.I brain done for proper diagnosis and detection of any age related changes. Also it will be advisable to rule out alzhiemer's disaese. For that you have to consult a neurologist. I hope that answers your question. If you have any other queries please feel free to write. wishing you good health.
