How Can Diarrhea And Headaches While On Magnesium Oxide Be Treated?

My Dr. has me on 1,ooo mg of magnesium oxiode to prevent migraines but having diarrhea everyday. Is this harmful to my body? Is there some other magnesium I can take that won t give me diarrhea as I ve cut back on this but my headaches come back!! Thank You Linda

I would recommend decreasing the dose to 400-500mg daily. this should prevent the headaches and hopefully decrease the side effect of diarrhea.
